I am a multidisciplinary chemist interested in solving environmental problems that primarily affect food safety and human health. My research focuses on unveiling the biotransformations of pollutants across different environmental compartments. I currently work as a postdoc at the University of Bern investigating the effect that our gut microbiota has on arsenic’s toxicity and metabolism.
I am a science communicator passionate in making science easily understandable to the public by organising and participating in science outreach events such as Pint of Science and 500WS in the Pub. Above all, I am a woman frustrated with the system and engaged in tackling gender issues in STEM, which is also why I actively joined this organisation.
