Prof. Dr. Christine Peinelt is co-director of the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine (IBMM), president of the Life Sciences Switzerland Physiology section and delegate for equal opportunities in NCCR TransCure. Prof. Peinelt shared with us her career path with emphasis on the decision-making process that led to her success in academia. We have discussed our individual career goals and actual steps that would be important for their achievement. We also had very fruitful discussions regarding gender equality in academia and promotion of women in science.
